Outstanding Achievement Awards in Florida Genealogy
The Florida Genealogy Outstanding Achievement Award is given to an individual, society, or institution in recognition of contributions to the genealogical or historical heritage of Florida. This could include a publication; sustained work in the area of extracting, preserving, accumulating or collecting genealogical/historical data for the genealogical or historical community; an instructor of genealogy or local history; or any person who has aided in furthering the interests of research in Florida genealogy or history over a period of three (3) or more years
Outstanding Achievement Awards in Genealogy
The Genealogy Outstanding Achievement Award is given to an individual, society, or institution to recognize contributions toward the promotion of genealogical interests or activities within the state of Florida. This could include a publication; a sustained work in the area of extracting, preserving, accumulating or collecting genealogical/historical data (regardless of what state in which the data originated or to what state they apply) for the genealogical community; an instructor of genealogy or local history; or any person who has aided in furthering the interests of research in genealogy over a period of five (5) or more years.

Preservation Award
Recognizes an organization proactive in preserving, protecting, abstracting, indexing and making historical records freely accessible to all those researching their Florida ancestors.
The Charlotte Freels Duvall / FSGS Librarian Scholarship
Charlotte Freels Duvall for many years has provided $200.00 for the librarian scholarship. FSGS adds an additional $300.00 to make a total of $500.00 available to any Florida librarian who is serving genealogy patrons. This scholarship is to enable attendance at a state or national conference or an institute of genealogical research to help further a librarian’s education in genealogical research and services.
