CaseyNancy25St. Marys, Florida28-Mar-1835The Floridian and Advocate32Horrid Massacre - About 11 o'clock, on the night of Wednesday the 18th inst., the residents of the house occupied by Mrs. Jane Casey were attacked by Thomas King 3rd, and three of his sons, John, Hiram, and George and two other ment, Simeon and William Rouse....Nancy Casey, a daughter of the woman aged about 25, and James Scott, aged about 21 were killed on the spot. The mother was stabbed twoce, and James Baldwin Casey and Garre Demot each more or less and are not expected to survive.

The circumstances which induced this horrid massacre are stated to be as follows:
A week or two since, a son of Mrs. Casey eloped with and married a daughter of King. From that moment on, the father and sons swore to take their lives. The couple in question were not at home when King and his sons attacked the house.

The mother was stabbed twoce, and James Baldwin Casey and Garre Demot each more or less and are not expected to survive.

The circumstances which induced this horrid massacre are stated to be as follows:
A week or two since, a son of Mrs. Casey eloped with and married a daughter of King. From that moment on, the father and sons swore to take their lives. The couple in question were not at home when King and his sons attacked the house.
